The Chick

I truly love this thing called Hey Chickie. I could never have predicted that I would start my own jewelry design business in my mid-thirties. I've always loved fashion and I believe in expressing myself based on what I’m feeling at the moment, but to start my own business was crazy, right? Wrong. Hey Chickie came to me at a time in my life when I was ready to get back to what I love: expressing myself and being creative. In the spirit of doing things that made me happy, I tried my hand (both of them, actually) in jewelry design. Unbeknownst to me as I was stringing along, I was creating these mini-masterpieces that my friends loved and wanted to buy. I couldn’t be stopped—the monster was born. Based on the great response from my supportive clients, I knew I had to continue my pursuit of beading my brains out. Since my decision, I never looked back.

Lot of peeps ask what “Hey Chickie” means. It's a term of endearment I use to speak to my friends. For me, it's completely evocative of a mood that I love: casual and familiar, yet silly and snazzy.

Hey Chickie designs have been on the necks of the hippest and hottest women from the Tri-State area, here on the Jersey Shore, all the way to Rome, Italy. I am ever so thankful to the dedicated fans of Hey Chickie who not only make purchases for themselves but for their friends, too—it's such a compliment. Thank you.

What's next for this chick? The Hey Chickie brand will be expanding. There are so many ideas running through my brain, so stay tuned—it’s going to be good.
